4 to 6 weeks???

I stumbled across this video today and it gave me food for thought. I realize that I am 4-6 weeks away from the call (hopefully). This one phone call that will forever change my life, the call I have been waiting for for over 10 months now. Yet, I see this video and look back at the highs and lows of this journey and am left with questions. There are some pretty dire situations in Africa and specifically in Ethiopia and yet I obsess waiting for the phone to ring and these people shown in the video are laughing, singing, playing, dancing. They have so little yet so much joy and spirit. I have so much to learn from them.

These next weeks will be intense for sure with the holidays rapidly approaching. I am vowing to take time and reflect on my life, adoption, my new family, the family I may never meet and more. These things bring me joy and I need to not let the circumstances of where I am bring me down. If those beautiful people in Africa can do it then so can I.
