Ok we are now #24!!! yeah. I am so glad I get to write posts like this again. I am keeping my fingers crossed that we might be in the teens by the end of the week or early next week. That would be awesome!
I am desperately trying to finish the patio furniture but it keeps raining on me so maybe later this week. Since I am off work today, I have decided to go into nesting mode. Yes I know I don't have a referral yet but I can't help it.
I scrubbed all of the bathroom floors and the kitchen floor. Then I started cleaning out the bookcases. I want to clean out the closets and organize the nursery better too.
My issue in the nursery is that we have two cribs set up. We haven't taken them down or really touched the room since the twins left. In fact we have closed the door and just shoved stuff in when we run out of room for it elsewhere. Well as we are creeping up the list we need to address the organization of the nursery. I don't want to have to deal with it after referral.
I am hesitant to take down one of the cribs. We are open to twins so you never know....I am pretty sure we will wind up with one infant but I am not ready to take that crib down yet. I probably will before I start the mural as it isn't a huge room and I like to spread out when I paint. So reality is that in a few weeks the crib will come down. We can always put it back together if we wind up having twins.
I also really need to clean out the closet in the nursery. We just shoved a bunch of stuff in there before the twins came to live with us and now that stuff needs to go. I think our down comforter is in there and an old dog bed oh and I think my old nightstand is in there.
I am actually kind of glad we have these projects to do. It keeps me busy and away from my refresh button. You see, us nutty adoptive parents, hit refresh on the forum 100's of times a day just the see a new post announcing a referral. Yeah, we are fully aware we are going bonkers but we support each other in our nuttiness. Anyway, these projects keep my occupied and away from the forum. Don't worry, I can't stay away too long and I will post ever time we move up a spot.
