Kiya started at her new school today. She was all set in her pink shirt, pink shoes and her new Hello Kitty pink backpack. She was excited and a little nervous I think.
I just wonder where my baby girl went. How did she get so big?
She was there from 8:15-11am. I finally got to meet her teacher. We missed Parent/teacher night as it was the day we flew home from Seoul. Her teacher seemed great and we already know the teacher's aide from church.
Surprisingly, I got a little teary eyed. It didn't help that Kiya was asking me why the flags were only half way up and I was struggling to find the words to tell her that would make sense and not be too much detail.
Our biggest area of concern was her using the toilets all by herself since they are full size and with her cast that can be challenging. She actually asked her teacher to go potty. Her teacher helped her up and she did the rest all by herself. I am so proud of her.
It looks like she has a great year ahead of her. I can't wait to see her blossom. She is truly a remarkable kid and I am pretty sure she is hands down the tallest kid in her class :)
